The Abigail Blanket design originates from a century old Hand Weavers pattern book. The design would have been very specific to a family’s weavery, and would have been woven by a young girl as a coverlet to take into her marriage as a dowry. This is a timeless work of art that today has been woven using a combination of wool and mohair. South Africa produces some of the highest quality wool and mohair in the world. We are very excited to introduce a blanket that has all the familiar traits of the traditional mohair blanket but is given a more modern and practical twist. Finished with a 100% linen border.
